Since Dervon is megas busy and we have no idea when the assassins mafia will start I prepose running another game in the mean time.
(Derv, if you want to be next just say the world and I'll kill this topic with a cricket bat)

I'm happy to run it unless someone else wants to. (Mine'll be Square-Enix games)

One puts the main characters from about 8 different games in Traverse Town, kills Aeris and watched as Squall, Garnet and Cloud try to out-angst each other. Fun times.

Roles will probably be by lottery, but Balthier is in it XD
Vaan is not, he is not the Leading Man after all.

Oh, ok...I've played something like this in real life before. But without the theme. Do we each pick a character, or are we assigned one, or do we hide who we are, or...what?

You will be assigned one.
It'll be random... probably.
You won't need to hide who you are as the Mafia will have disguises of varying competence and there are so many big damn heroes and main characters you shouldn't be able to pick who is the detective, doctor etc from character alone.
